Introduction

Learn what Algo Trading Platform is, who it is for, and what you can do with it.

What is Algo Trading Platform?

Algo Trading Platform (ATPAlgo) is a cloud-based algorithmic trading platform for Indian equity, derivatives, and related markets. It combines strategy design, historical backtesting, and live or paper execution in a single browser-based workspace — so you can move from idea to deployed strategy without installing desktop software or stitching together separate tools.

Algo Trading Platform is built for traders who want repeatable, rule-based decisions: your entry rules, exit rules, position sizing, and risk limits are defined upfront and executed consistently by the platform.

No coding required

You do not need programming or scripting skills to use ATPAlgo. The Strategy Builder is fully visual — you configure instruments, entry/exit rules, indicators, and risk controls in the browser. Optional power features (custom indicators, variables) are still point-and-click; writing code is never required.

Purpose

The platform helps you design, validate, and run systematic trading strategies with discipline:

  • Design — Build strategies visually with legs, indicators, conditions, and risk controls; start from scratch, a template, or the marketplace.
  • Validate — Run backtests on historical data, sweep parameters, and compare portfolio combinations before risking capital.
  • Execute — Deploy to live or paper accounts through supported brokers, schedule runs, and monitor performance in real time.

By encoding your logic in ATPAlgo, you reduce manual screen-watching, emotional overrides, and gaps between what you planned and what you actually traded.

Who can use it

Algo Trading Platform is intended for:

AudienceHow they use ATPAlgo
Retail traders & investorsRun rule-based strategies instead of discretionary entries and exits
F&O & options tradersBuild and manage multi-leg strategies with defined risk parameters
Strategy developersIterate on indicators, variables, and portfolio combinations
Paper tradersTest ideas with simulated capital before going live
Beginners & non-codersStart from templates or the AI assistant — no trading or programming background required

To get started you need an ATPAlgo account. Live trading additionally requires connecting at least one supported broker (or you can use Paper Trade for simulated execution).

How Algo Trading Platform benefits you

ATPAlgo is designed to remove the friction, emotion, and guesswork that often get in the way of consistent trading:

  • Reclaim your time — You do not need to watch charts for hours waiting to place trades. Once a strategy is deployed, the platform executes your rules automatically so you can focus on your job, business, or other priorities.
  • Trade without emotional interference — Orders are placed by the system, not by you in the heat of the moment. With no manual intervention during live runs, fear, greed, and hesitation are far less likely to override your predefined plan.
  • Protect your capital — Backtest on historical data before you commit real money. Validate entries, exits, and risk limits in advance so you deploy strategies with evidence, not hope.
  • Learn from every run — Each trade is recorded and traceable. Historical portfolio and performance tracking help you review what worked, spot patterns, and make better decisions over time.
  • No technical barrier — You do not need to know programming, scripting, or broker APIs. The visual Strategy Builder, templates, and AI assistant let you design and run strategies without depending on specialized technology skills.
  • Stay informed when it matters — Real-time alerts notify you of order events, run completions, and failures in automated trading so you can respond quickly without babysitting the screen.
Discipline by design

Your strategy rules are set once and followed consistently — ATPAlgo handles execution, logging, and monitoring so you stay in control without being chained to the market.

New to trading? Start safely

You do not need deep trading experience to begin. A practical path on ATPAlgo:

  1. Pick a template — Browse Strategy Templates and load a pre-built strategy you can review and tweak.
  2. Or use the AI Assistant — Describe your goal in plain language and let the AI Strategy Assistant draft a starting configuration.
  3. Run your first backtest — Validate the idea on historical data with a Single Strategy backtest before risking real money.
  4. Try Paper Trade — Deploy with Paper Trade (simulated execution) from Deploy Strategy to see how the strategy behaves in real time without a live broker.
  5. Connect a broker when ready — Only after you are comfortable with backtest and paper results, connect a supported broker and deploy live.
Learn before you commit capital

Templates, AI, backtests, and paper trading exist so you can learn the platform and your strategy logic before connecting real brokerage capital.
