Zerodha (Kite Connect)

Connect Zerodha using Kite Connect API key, secret, and OAuth login.

Prerequisites (Zerodha developer portal)​

Before using Add Broker in ATPAlgo, complete these steps on developers.kite.trade:

  • Active Zerodha trading account and Kite login
  • Create a Kite Connect app (paid Connect plan may be required for live trading APIs)
  • Set Redirect URL exactly to: https://atpalgo.ai/zerodha-callback (also accepted: https://atpalgo.ai/zerodha-callback.html)
  • Note your API Key, API Secret, and Zerodha client ID (User ID, e.g. AB1234)
  • If your broker requires static IP whitelisting, allocate an IP under Brokers › Static IPs first
Redirect URL must match

The redirect URL in the Kite Connect app must match your ATPAlgo domain exactly. A mismatch causes OAuth to fail after login.

Step 1 — Open Add Broker and name the account​

  1. Sign in to ATPAlgo and go to Brokers › Add new Account (open Add Broker).
  2. Enter a display name for this account (e.g. Zerodha Primary).
  3. Click Next.

Step 2 — Select Zerodha​

  1. Search or scroll the broker grid and select Zerodha / Zerodha Kite.
  2. Click Next.

Step 2: Select Zerodha from the broker list.

Step 3 — Enter API credentials​

  1. Enter your User ID (Zerodha client ID).
  2. Enter API Key and API Secret from the Kite Connect app.
  3. Confirm the on-screen reminder shows redirect URL https://atpalgo.ai/zerodha-callback.
  4. Click Next — ATPAlgo opens the Kite login popup automatically.

Step 4 — Complete OAuth login​

  1. In the popup, log in to Zerodha Kite and approve the connection.
  2. Wait on the Authentication step — ATPAlgo exchanges the token automatically (about 60 seconds).
  3. When status shows Authenticated, click Next.

Step 4: Complete login in the Kite popup; ATPAlgo captures the token.

Step 5 — Finish setup​

  1. Review the summary on Complete Setup.
  2. Click Finish Setup to save the broker.
  3. On My Brokers, confirm status is Connected and balance refreshes.
